Show affiliations We review the structure of five-dimensional (5D),
= 2 gauged supergravity theories coupled to vector and tensor multiplets. These theories form the maximal set of 5D supergravity theories in which gaugings of the R-symmetry group and gaugings of scalar manifold isometries can be clearly distinguished. Our main emphasis is on the role played by the self-dual tensor fields as well as on the forms of the different types of scalar potentials.
