A brief history of astronomy: 1905–2005

Einstein published his seminal papers in 1905. This article begins by introducing the impact of the theory of relativity on astronomy in the early 20th century. It goes on to discuss some of the major developments in astronomy over the past 100 years, and concludes with a brief look at what we still don't know.
