A study of equilibrium plasma currents in l=2 and l=3 torsatrons

Show affiliations

Numerical methods are used to investigate equilibrium plasma currents in the magnetic configurations of torsatrons with parameters close to those of URAGAN-2M and URAGAN-3 as a function of a vertical field which is additional to the main magnetic field of the torsatron. The limiting equilibrium beta is estimated for the free-boundary plasma
