Show affiliationsA simple attachment to the Weisenberg camera for aligning largely mis-set crystals is described. The attachment can be fabricated in any laboratory workshop. The present method can be used to align a crystal (within about 2 degrees ) in which the misalignment in each arc is large (e.g., 10 degrees -15 degrees ). The theoretical formulae needed to evaluate the corrections to goniometer arcs are also derived. Corrections to both the arcs can be obtained from the measurements made on a single photograph.
