Observation of the missing gap modes in superconducting V3Si

R Hackl and R Kaiser

Show affiliations

Systematic Raman scattering experiments have been performed on A15 V3Si below the superconducting transition temperature revealing the missing gap modes in A1g and F2g symmetry. The A1g spectra are found to depend on the measuring geometry. The measured A1g frequency band near 55 cm-1 suggests a value for the energy gap larger than reported so far.
