Theoretical study of phase transformation in ferrous fluosilicate using EPR and optical spectra

Zhou Yi-Yang and Zhao Min-Guang

Show affiliations

The zero-field splitting and optical spectra of ferrous fluosilicate (FeSiF6.6H2O) at room temperature and low temperatures were separately studied theoretically. Good agreement between the theoretical results and the experimental values shows the presence of both the room-temperature phase and the low-temperature phase, and further reveals physical information on the temperature phase transition in ferrous fluosilicate clearly and from a different viewpoint from those of other researchers.
