Charge fluctuations in potassium bromide

A recent neutron scattering experiment designed to detect charge fluctuations in potassium bromide is analysed by use of a simple theory. For q=0.5 AA-1 and onwards the theory does not indicate any optic-type mode, but at q=0.3 AA-1, a distinct optic-type mode has been found.
