Show affiliations

Cross sections for ionization of the alkali metal atoms Na, K, Rb and Cs by electrons of energy up to 100 ev and protons of energy up to 200 kev have been calculated in a classical impulse approximation using the quantal momentum distribution function. The cross sections are compared with the available experimental and theoretical results.
