The photon-induced L X-ray fluorescence cross sections (( sigma Ll), ( sigma Lalpha ), ( sigma Lbeta ) and ( sigma Lgamma )) for Ta, W, Au, Tl and Bi have been measured at various incident photon energies in the energy range 15<or=E<or=60 keV. Experimental results have been compared with theoretically calculated values. Fairly good agreement is observed between the present experimental results and the calculations, within the uncertainties of the determinations. To the best of the authors' knowledge, photon-induced L X-ray fluorescence cross sections are being reported for the first time.
